Denmark: Carlsberg-owned House of Beer recorded a profit of €1 million from selling imported beers
Carlsberg’s House of Beer had last year a profit of €1 million by selling upto 100 different imported beer-types, H. Abildstrøm & Co ApS released in its Scandinavian Malting Barley report No/09 of August 24.
It also marketed some of the Danish micro-brewery products. It presently has almost 100 Danish micro-breweries in production or nearby planned. Their expectations before the market is satiated are about 200 breweries within 5 years. By then the House of Beert will still only represent not more than 15% of the Danish beer market.
The House of Beer was founded by Carlsberg as a wholly owned import company in. It quickly became the exclusive Danish importer for many foreign beers.
